Welcome to Deeply Rooted Apparel’s Online Boutique! Deeply Rooted Apparel was born of the desire to bridge the need to express creativity with the desire to reach and influence the younger generation. For years I’ve dabbled in some sort of outlet to express my creativity. At first there were created the cards and gift note tags for friends and family. Then, there were the "blinged-out" scarves (remember those? shortlived, but fun! ; )) which stormed onto the Fashion scene 2001.
In 2003, I partnered with another creative mind to form Deeply Rooted Apparel. We noticed a disconnect between the youth and the more “seasoned” women of our local church, so we created a concept that would bridge that gap: fashionable attire that expressed our faith, while still lending a feel of individuality and self-expression. The response to the product was overwhelming! Months later, we took a leap of faith, made Deeply Rooted Apparel a legal entity and expanded beyond the church doors to the mainstream at the McDonalds Gospel fest with (2) tee styles: “So Loved” and “Made in HIS Image". Today, “So Loved” is still one of our best sellers. The company added the scripture: Psalm 1:3 which would later prove to be the underlying theme and foundation for the company which reads:
"He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper."
This scripture describes one who is firmly planted (through meditation, reading and the understanding of God's Word) by the life source (Jesus Christ) will be strengthened, despite the strong currents which may come. This is our definition of what it means to be Deeply Rooted.
In 2006, Deeply Rooted Apparel embarked on a new season and the company re-launched with a new look, new styles and a new company motto: “HIS Word. Your Style.” We coined the phrase “Faith Forward Fashionista” which, simply put, is a woman with fashion sense who doesn’t look behind, but instead looks ahead, in faith, toward what God will do in her life. The response to the new direction has been overwhelming and along with our true Founder, Jesus Christ, we have YOU to thank for your continued prayers and support.
